Well the time came and it went, and here we are. Sorry not sorry for the late post okay life happens. One of the main reasons I started going to Coachella was the fashion, the amazing outfits people would put together I always wanted to put together looks and just really go all in. Every year I put a lot of thought into my outfits for Coachella and I have so much fun creating something super fun that I normally wouldn't wear. I'm going to walk you guys through how I get inspo for my outfits and my favorite places to shop!

First I have to get inspo, I'm nothing without inspo. I usually get inspo from the festival itself or Pinterest. I've created an entire Pinterest board dedicated to festival outfits, no matter the vibe or look I pin it if I like it so that way I can decide later if that's the vibe I want that year. I start my search typically by putting in 'Coachella festival style' or 'Coachella festival outfits.' From there I find outfits that I like and look under that for more that are similar. One of my favorite festivals that has the most amazing style is Splendour in the Grass that is held in Australia every year, people go all out and I fucking love it. It's like Coachella but better, every outfit is so stunning I spend hours looking at looks from there.
From here I usually find some outfits that I'm in love with and must have. The main reason I love using Pinterest is that you can image search on an image you've found on there to find where items are from or maybe who that person is that is in the photo so you can find their social media's and hopefully they've tagged what they're wearing. For instance one of my looks this year was pulled directly from someone who attended Speldour. On Instagram I searched under the hashtag #spellfestivalstyle as I love Spell & the Gypsy (@spellandthegypsy) and they're always at Splendour. I found this post that tagged both of the girls in it, the one on the right was @lisadanielle_. I had no idea who she was but I looooooved her outfit and I knew it was spell. I went to her profile and scrolled for at least 2 years worth of content (I know I'm crazy it's fine.) I found her posts from the festival, she didn't tag any of her items that she was wearing so I dove into the comments. She answered one gal where she got her necklace from. I followed their page and ended up ordering the necklace, next I had to find where the romper was or what it was called. I knew it was spell but it was old spell so it wasn't available for purchase on their website. I googled their rompers and found which one it was and then searched that one up. I found luckily one on Mercai that was my size and half off the original price, naturally I ordered it without hesitation. I had some combat boots in my closet from years back when they were super popular and I figured they'd be good enough. The day of the festival I ended up going with my Birkenstocks because ya girl was over it and tired and my feet hurt and sometimes that's just how the cookie crumbles.
My first outfit I had planned for almost a couple months in advance, I bought this slip dress from Free People as we had it in stock at my home store. I was in love with all the beading on it, it actually came out around the holidays but I loved it. My original inspo that I drew from it was online from Free People. I found this photo of this dress when looking for dresses for the holidays and I loved the look of the boots with the short dress. I was going to buy that dress but it was a little pricey and I wasn't sure if it would fit me right length wise. I ended up discovering my matisse booties short after and got those because of Coachella but also because they are the cutest fucking boots ever. I ended up belting my look because the slip dress that I bought was just a bit too wide for me so I bought a black and silver western style belt as well from FP to finish it off. Despite not getting a full photo with the boots, we was feeling this cute little moment.

The second look was very last minute for me and actually was complete built from my closet of stuff I already had. I originally was set on copying this girls outfit from last year that I saw that I loved. She had on a pink silk slip midi dress with some lace on the neck line and a bandana tied around her neck and the some booties and a wide brim hat, it was so simple yet so bomb. I was looking and looking for the right pink midi silk dress and let me tell you, it doesn't exist. I have no clue where that girl got her dress from but I couldn't find anything similar enough in cut/color without it looking too elegant or like every other cowl neck slip dress from Forever 21. Well it was coming down to less than a month away and ordering online was beginning to be a problem in case items didn't work out. So I decided I had some great spell pieces in my closet the that I can whip together a cute look. I did buy another necklace from Lost Lovers to go with this outfit and it was perfect. This is my favorite look because I was so comfortable and loved my accessories.
Now some of my favorite sites that I shop from for Coachella change each year as I most of the time shop according to an item I'm looking for versus a site that I like. That doesn't stop me though from looking through and seeing what they have to offer, mostly every website now does a festival collection leading up to festival season aka April.
