Okay, first can we talk about how fucking cute these boots are? I've been eyeing this bad boys for what feels like years. I told myself I was going to wait to get them for this upcoming Coachella and ladies it was time. I first saw them on my Instagram as an ad for 12th Tribe (@shop12thtribe). So naturally I stalked their Instagram feed for inspo on how to style them and really picture what I have in my own wardrobe to be able to justify that hefty price tag of $198. If anyone knows me, it doesn't take much to justify a clothing purchase, if I can think of one outfit then I'm sold. So finally I decided to pull the trigger, despite seeing them in 12th Tribe first, they were sold out in my size in the color I wanted. So I searched the internet for my size in the black snake skin and stumbled upon a site called Prism Boutique which also conveniently offers Afterpay! If you don't know what Afterpay is let me just say, I'm sorry for introducing it to you because it is the best and worst thing that has ever happened to me.

Now given the price of the boots, I do like to do some research I'm not crazy impulsive, just impulsive. Everyone was saying to go a half size up as they run really tight in the calf (they are a mid calf bootie, so think about 2 inches above the ankle.) I'm a very petite little lady so I decided to stick with my true shoe size, 6 US women's . When I received the boot I immediately tried them on, at first one of the boots I couldn't pull the zipper all the way down and it was pretty difficult getting my foot in but I figured it was because they are brand new. Once I got them on they were actually extremely comfortable. I didn't notice any area's where I felt like I was going to start immediately getting a blister or if they felt too tight in a area, they were a dream. The next time I tried them on was to fully commit to wearing them on a full day's work in retail aka on my feet for a full 8 hours. They were able to both zip all the way down and were really easy to get on. Once I got into the flow of working about the time I went on my lunch break so about 4 to 5 hours into my shift my feet were feeling it. I decided to not wear socks with them because they were a bit tight and I wanted to really get a feel for how they were. My toes were the problem area's for me, I had to put some bandaids on both feet on my pinky toe and my ring toe? Is that a thing, ring toe? Once I did that they felt great again, I lasted the entire 8 hour shift with them! The next day I did realize my shins where the boot hits at the top was pretty sore, wearing them again for a second time in a row was a little difficult but I managed. After two days of wear I had no blisters thanks to my trusty bandaids but I did have some weird ass bruising around my leg where the boot ends that actually is still there about a week later now. I'm not to worried about wearing them to Coachella as they are a material that would be easy to clean and they are comfortable, so win win.

Overall the boots are 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for some bomb ass booties. I know they are pricey BUT trust me when I say I tried finding very similar dupes and they were all too high of heel, not the right height, not any with the right snake skin look. It was a no brainer at that point to just get the OG's and have no regrets. I plan on purchasing the ivory snake skin ones next!

If you're interested in purchasing here is the link for the actual makers of the shoe. Thanks for reading! Don't forget to subscribe and never miss a post! xx Analisa
